Actually we're revising the base types a bit right now, so we're not able to
release them right now anyway.   (Nothing major, just simplifying the
interface structure).  But we're hoping to have a release version out as
soon as possible....

Is there any chance of an early release, even if it is just the base
types?
I'd really like to start using the base types (Point, Envelope, ...) as
building blocks for the work I'm doing.
I'm currently adding Web Map Server and Web Feature Server support to
http://geotools.sf.net as part of the http://mapbuilder.sf.net project.
