I don't know if these have been answered before

1) But what kind of box is your mapserver and postgis running on? (e.g
processor and memory) - I assume its the same box since you don't have a
host line in there.

2) Are you using the latest libpq on your webserver?
3) For a general street search query - how many tuples are returned? 
4) What is the general image size in kilobytes (of the rendered image)
5) Without the postgis layer (just doing panning and zooming etc.) - I
assume the speed is decent?
